Prom style ideas for 2015: The boho-chic look

The boho-chic look is one of our favourites. Stylish, unique and utterly romantic; it’s a great look for prom. Creating this pretty look needn’t be difficult either, especially with today’s handy guide…

We’ve started a Pinterest board for this look – View it here and please help us add to it!

Arriving at prom

Today’s boho chic style embraces romance and elegance – so it’s only right that you choose a car that gives off the same vibe.

Our 1960s Van Dam Plas car, traditionally used for weddings, is the perfect complement to the boho chic look. Coming right from the boho, hippie era of the 60s, this car is ideal for any prom go-er embracing this look.

Old fashioned, with chic, hippy style fur rugs and an eye-catching exterior, it’s sure to add the finishing touch to your prom night look.

What’s more, the car can seat up to seven, meaning you can double date or even triple date and arrive at prom together with all your best friends.

For something more modern, but equally chic, we’d recommend the White Chrysler limo, otherwise known as the Baby Bentley. Forget what you think you know about limos – the Chrysler is completely different.

White Chrysler

Chic and elegant, it’s the type of car you’d expect boho beauties Kate Moss and Sienna Miller to rock up in at a film premier or exclusive event.

With its plush seating and space for parties of up to eight, the White Chrysler makes a great choice for groups who want to kickstart prom night with a journey to remember.

Romantic style

Let your gown be influenced by all things floaty, romantic and hippy-chic. Take some time to research dresses worn by stars who commonly embrace this look – such as Sienna Miller and Vanessa Hudgens.

Long, floaty dresses work best for this look, ideally in light colours and fabrics. Don’t be afraid to experiments with patterns either, for example florals, paisley or Suzani style prints.

Boho style looks great on guys too and gives off a more old-world, chilled out vibe. Opt for relaxed fabrics and light colours – such as blues, greys and light browns.

Layering is another technique that works well for the boys, think waistcoats, braces and bow ties.

The all-important extras

Accessories really make this look. While scarves and wooden bracelets look great on the boys, sandals, floral headbands and lots of jewellery look great on the girls.

Boho beauty

Opt for the natural look when it comes to your make-up – nothing too dark or extreme. Soft, neutral colours along with pearly pinks and peaches help to create this fresh, pretty look.

When it comes to your hairstyle, you can’t go wrong with a braid…or three. Fishtail plaits, side braids and messy buns, or loose braids amongst soft curls; these are just a few fab hair looks that complement true boho style.
