Winter is becoming an increasingly popular time of the year to get married. With with the crisp, glistening frosts, cool landscapes, and fabulous festive touches to add to your day, we’re not at all surprised so many of you are opting for a winter wedding day. But how do you go about styling your cosy and chic winter celebration? That’s exactly what we’ll be exploring in today’s blog…

Winter palette

There are so many beautiful colours that work for winter. You could opt for the pantone colour of the year – Marsala, which works well with golds and red, or something more light and bright, such as white and silver. For a truly glamorous affair why not go for gold? You might even choose to pair it with black for a fab Gatsby look.

Fab florals

While red and cream roses are popular choices for the winter months, you could also consider fuller flowers, such as white hydrangeas and soft ranunculuses. For a touch of winter glamour, why not add sparkle to your bouquet by wrapping the stems in ribbon embellished with crystals?

Cosy attire

You can stay warm, while looking chic, with a fashionable long sleeved gown. Accessories, including a pretty cardigan, fur cape, and arm warmers also help to create a pretty and unique look.

Why not try something completely different and welcome your guests with hot chocolate, warm winter Pimms, or mulled wine? When it comes to your wedding breakfast, opt for hearty comfort foods, like the traditional British roast or a seasonal casserole. A winter vegetable inspired tart is a great choice for vegetarians.
