Last week we featured an article about arranging an unforgettable hen party and this week it’s the turn of the boys – as we look at the key ingredients for a top stag do.
The stag do is a time-honoured tradition whereby the groom and his party are given one last night of ‘freedom’. In this day and age, the tradition is stronger than ever with new, unique, and even more extravagant ways to celebrate being discovered every year.
Gone are the days of a few pints in the local. Nowadays, there is no limit when it comes to the stag weekend.
Weekend getaways to Europe
With pool parties, clubbing and much more, it’s no surprise that the weekend getaway has become so popular. What’s more, prices can often be lower than a weekend in the UK, making the choice for a destination stag do a no-brainer.
Paintballing has always been a classic option for the action-loving stag. Promising an adrenaline-fueled day, it’s a great choice for the stag that wants to keep to a budget and invite as many friends as possible.
A trip to the races
There’s something about dressing up, gambling and experiencing the electrifying atmosphere that makes a trip to the races a great option. Follow your day activities with a posh night out featuring all of your favourite tipples.
Weekend of country pursuits
From quad biking to clay pigeon shooting – there’s plenty of choice when it comes to country pursuits. If there’s one thing we can guarantee with activities of this sort it’s banter – from the moment you arrive, right through to the end of the day.
Key things to consider
When planning a stag do, make sure it takes place at least one week before the wedding day. If you’re planning a trip abroad or a messy weekend, we’d advise you to book things a few weeks earlier than that
It’s also a good idea to choose something that’s affordable to all – after all the stag do is all about banter. Opt for Vegas or another long-haul destination, and you could be celebrating with a very small stag party.
Finally, make sure you plan all your logistics – such as timings and how you are going to get to your destination. Whether you need a trip to the airport or a country field, why not start the party the right way with a trip in a limo?
At Limo-Scene and Wedding Cars we have a whole range of fantastic limos available for hire. Every single one of our cars is driven by a professional chauffeur and can be personalised for your special occasion.
