Summer wedding previews – what’s hot for 2015

With the summer wedding season fast approaching we thought we’d share our top tips on what’s hot in the world of weddings right now…

Muted colour schemes

While pinks and pastel colours have been popular for the last few years, this year sees the trend of much more muted shades teamed with sophisticated darker colours such as midnight blue or grey. A colour palette with more depth and sophistication is in for 2015.

For those of you who are keen to be on trend, the pantone colour of 2015 is marsala – a rich red / brown shade. Team with blush and gold for a rich and royal theme that works for just about every season.

A twist on the classic gown

While lace gowns and sweetheart necklines are still very much in, fashion forward brides should be opting for the latest look of off the shoulder gowns. Classic in style and with that flattering cover-up touch, the off the shoulder look suits all shapes and sizes. And if you’re looking for something that’s both practical and stylish, why not opt for a dress with pockets?

Modern groom

Slim fit suits from high street stores or designers like Ted Baker are becoming increasingly popular amongst today’s grooms. While some may still opt for the classic tails look, things are generally much more relaxed when it comes to grooms’ style. For boho or country affairs, why not experiment with materials such as tweed and add a quirky touch with a bow tie, braces and brogues to finish off the look?

Laid back catering

In 2015 we’re saying goodbye to the sit down meal and hello to a sociable hog roast and / or BBQ. Fun, tasty and perfect for the summer season, it’s a great option for brides on a budget as well as those who would like a more relaxed, informal affair.
