Limo-Scene & Wedding Cars

A history of limousines

The first limo was built in 1902, and designed so the driver sat outside under a covered compartment.

Originating from the word for the French region Limosin, the car resembled the cloak hood worn by the shepherds there.

Traditionally, limousines have been an extension of large cars. Two jump seats face the rearward behind the driver and fold up when not in use.

Newer limos, however, rarely feature jump seats because they are used to transport more than three passengers.

Vehicles from Limo-Scene include luxury features such as audio players, televisions and video players.
