Wedding dresses for each season

Posted on 2nd May, 2013 by Jackie Jolliffe

kissthedressOne of the most important moments in every girl’s life is when she steps into the wedding hall to marry her Mr. Right – a day which is full of happiness and romance.

On that big day, the perfect wedding dress plays a really important role.

Although we all understand this, although not all of us know how to select the right dress for the wedding season. That’s what we want to talk about in this post – teaching you how to select the right gown for different wedding seasons. And of course, the one needs to fit you best!

Spring

Spring is the first choice for weddings. Have noticed that more and more weddings are being held in this season? The weather is comfortable and the wind is soft (definitely not referring to early spring there).

There are many wedding dress choices due to feature this spring. You can select ball gown style which is made of tulle, organza, lace, silk satin lining, full of romance and princess style. Also, all A-line, column/sheath is totally OK! Just not too heavy fabric like taffeta.

Summer

If you decide to hold your wedding in summer, we highly recommend you choose a beach wedding or an outdoor garden themed wedding – which would be very cool.

But don’t hold it in the hottest day of summer – that’s not good for you or any wedding guests. For summer weddings, short/tea-length/knee-length dresses are much better than a chapel train gowns or floor-length dresses.

We highly recommend silk chiffon fabric for your dress, which is soft and flowing. When wind blows chiffon skirt, you will look like an angel sent from above – beautiful and elegant.

Autumn

The weather in autumn is actually quite similar to spring. Therefore, our wedding dresses suggestions for this season are similar to spring, supplemented with lace wedding gowns.

For an autumn wedding, dress yourself in a pure white lace wedding dress, and have a forest wedding – with your bridesmaid group all wearing orange coloured gowns. WOW, a fairy tale is born.

Winter

Few brides-to-be prefer winter weddings, because of the low temperature. But, have you thought about this…? Since winter is the most romantic season for weddings, match it with pure white snow – a white dress, white veil, with a white fur jacket. Who says winter is bad for weddings?

For this season, choose a taffeta or satin dress as your wedding gown. It should be a ball gown style, with several layers of satin lining. You can add a hoop inside to fix the ball gown shape and wear a thick nude leggings to keep you warm.

And, of course, a fur jacket is essential! Online stores always offer bridal accessories like petticoats, jacket, veil, etc.
